Clemson Gameday Photos - Clemson vs. USC

What.a.game. Mix a night game in Death Valley and a huge in-state rivalry game, and you've got a heck of a game. Every year this rivalry game is a nail biter to the end. Our Tigers fought hard, but in the end, they just couldn't get the plays made to beat their arch nemesis the Gamecocks.

Final score: Clemson 17, USC 27.

Heartbreaking. But the Tigers still had a great season, finishing strong and no doubt heading to a big bowl game against a more challenging competitor.

One of the best things about a night game is that it gives you ALL day to tailgate. And even though Clemson fans and Gamecock fans are on opposite sides of the field during the game, you definitely saw many tailgates-divided during the day - meaning that even though we can't agree on the same team, we can still share a cold beverage at the tailgate and play cornhole together. :)

Clemson Gameday Photos - Clemson vs. N.C. State

What a great game for the last game in our conference schedule. The Tigers pulled out ahead right before halftime, and continued to outplay and outshine N.C. State until the end - Clemson 62, N.C. State 48. Tajh Boyd was a star this game, running in many of the game's touchdowns himself.

The weather was perfect - but got very cold after the sun went down, but that didn't stop fans from tailgating into the night. One tailgate next to ours was singing karaoke while we were packing up our car.

Good afternoon ladies. Is anyone else suffering from sunburn after Saturday's home game? It was quite the hot and humid day, and we barely missed a large thunderstorm. That didn't stop our beloved Tigers from picking up another win - 52 to 27 against Ball State. We also had some amazing plays - like the ACC record making 61 yard field goal. How about them Tigers?!? Another fabulous win over UNC to continue Clemson's undefeated streak along with a rise in the BCS polls to #5.

Are you ready for some football?

Can you believe it's officially football season? This year has really flown by! I am so ready for Clemson gamedays and Fall weather...this is absolutely my favorite time of year.


Who's going to the game? If it's your first time at a Clemson home football game, check out this nifty, online guide, "The Tiger Fan's Guide to Clemson Football Game Days", created by IPTAY and the Clemson Athletic Department. It has useful tips even for experienced Clemson fans. Also make sure you read up on some new Death Valley policies for game days. No backpacks folks.

If you make it into Clemson early on Friday, make sure you check out the First Friday Parade - starts at 6pm. The theme this year is, "History WILL Repeat Itself".


Looks like the weather will be nice for the weekend, but hot (as it usually is the first game). I guess we should be glad it's not a Noon game, but 3:30 PM games can be just as hot. I need to remember to get batteries for my gameday lap fan (best purchase ever!). :) And pack sunscreen!

And remember that if you are drinking 'adult' beverages on Saturday, make sure you drink plenty of water too...your body will thank you on Sunday.


Besides tailgating on Clemson gamedays, we also love seeing everyone's gameday fashion! We try to capture as many photos of you in your gameday best as we can, so don't be surprised if someone approaches you and wants to take your picture for ClemsonGirl.com. :)



Speaking of photos - we always try to take as many photos around Clemson on gameday as we can, but it's hard to get everywhere, so we're looking for volunteers again this year to help capture Clemson's gamedays. All we ask is that you take at least 75 unique photos throughout the day (tailgating fun, gameday outfits, inside the stadium, etc.) and then email them to us on Sunday by midnight EST. All volunteer photographers get a $25 gift certificate to a sponsor of their choice (businesses on the right side of this blog -->). Don't forget to wear orange on Friday for Solid Orange Fridays! Why not wear your Clemson Girl t-shirt? I'm sure it's totally work appropriate, right? :)

11.27.10 - Clemson vs. USC gameday photos

Well, I'll be honest...I wasn't too disappointed after Saturday's loss because I went into the game knowing we were probably the underdog in this match up. But when Clemson scored on the first drive, my hopes got up - I envisioned us pulling out a win and upsetting USC.

And then....we didn't score the rest of the game, while USC continued to. Sigh. Final Score: Clemson 7, USC 29. We stayed until the end though and watched Tajh Boyd play the fourth quarter - it was great to see him in the game getting some good experience.

Despite the loss, it was still a fun day of tailgating with friends and family in the cool weather.

I can't believe football season is already over - did it fly by this year for anyone else?

Next up is a bowl game - not sure where yet, but I keep hearing Charlotte.

We were able to capture some photos during the game, and one of our readers, Kathy Smoley, took photos for us during the game and around campus. She did an amazing job and took some great photos! Thank you so much Kathy!

Good afternoon ladies! I hope everyone had a wonderful Halloween weekend - despite the disappointment from Saturday afternoon. And let's hope for a speedy recovery for Ellington with his toe injury. Looks like he'll be out for the NC State game and possibly the FSU game.

10.23.10 - Clemson vs. Georgia Tech gameday photos

The atmosphere in Death Valley yesterday was electric and very, very loud. I'm so glad Dabo got his first win against Georgia Tech. The final score was Clemson 27, Georgia Tech 13.

We had some help from a few awesome ladies yesterday who covered Clemson's campus and captured some amazing gameday photos for all of us to enjoy! Lots of great game day outfits and tailgating ideas in this album and a lot of great photos taken from inside the stadium.

A big thanks to the following ladies: Sara McCarter who has been coming to Clemson games for 25+ years with the same seats and parking spot right near the stadium. Megan Robertson, a freshman genetics major at Clemson, who has a passion for photography. Tina Thadhani, who has been going to Clemson games since she was in second grade and is married to a Georgia Tech alum. And Clarissa Fawver, a local girl from Seneca and a junior psychology major at Clemson.

09.11.10 - Clemson vs. Presbyterian College Gameday Photos

We are still bummed we couldn't make it to yesterday's Clemson vs. PC game, but looking at all of the amazing photos from professional photographer Rachael Bergstein of Lime Green Room Photography, we felt as if we were actually there!

Clemson took the win with a big 58 to PC's 21.

These photos are so amazing - Rachael did a super job capturing the Clemson spirit and the exciting atmosphere of a Clemson home game. She got so many photos of Clemson fans, little Clemson fans, Clemson landmarks, gameday outfits, tailgates, action shots from the game, etc. etc. etc.
