Good morning Clemson Girls! We are halfway through the week and another day closer to the weekend. Despite the painful loss last weekend, we still have a lot of football left in the season, which means more opportunities for Tiger wins.

It also means you still have some game viewing parties and home games left to wear cute gameday outfits to. It’s not too late to keep building your Clemson gameday wardrobe, and it’s our job to keep you informed of all of the cute gameday boutiques for all of your orange and purple gameday needs.

Here’s her story: ‘I'm a graduate of the University of Tennessee, wife to Tommy and mom to Stella. The idea of the store came to me during the 2011 UT vs. Georgia game. I looked at my husband, and I said, "I think I can make this work!" With his support, I founded Southern Gamedays literally the next week. If you have an idea or a dream, go for it! You'll always wonder if you don't try and you never know what you're truly capable of learning and accomplishing and what God is capable of providing.’

11.06.10 - Clemson vs. NC State gameday photos

What a nail biter game that was! I almost threw in the towel in the third quarter, but our Tigers prevailed and beat NC State with a final score of Clemson 14, NC State 13. How many of you went "Phew!" and let out a big sigh of relief at the end of that game?

Despite the nerve racking football, yesterday was a very special game because it was Military Appreciation Day. From all of Clemson's coaches' camouflage pants to the jet flyover during pregame, our servicemen and women where honored and recognized throughout the game. We love that this focus can be seen throughout our gameday photos.

A big thanks to our awesome photo volunteers this weekend - Vicki Amick and Rachael Bergstein.

Vicki did an excellent job of capturing the military theme from yesterday's game - including the jet flyover from pregame. She also captured some amazing photos of the hill and she was right there with the players before they ran down.

Rachael also did an amazing job capturing photos from all over Clemson yesterday, including some cute gameday outfits.

You might remember Rachael as the creative mind behind Lime Green Room Photography who has helped us with gameday photos in the past. She's having an amazing contest on her Facebook page that you need to check out -- you can win a framed 8x10 Clemson photograph. The person who suggests the most people to Lime Green Room's Facebook page (and have them comment with "I was suggested by ___") will win the Clemson photograph. The suggested friends will go into a random drawing to win a second framed Clemson photograph. Check it out!

Make sure you flip through all of our gameday photos from yesterday - you can view all of them on our Flickr site. You can email us (clemsongirlblog@gmail.com) your gameday photos from yesterday's game and we will add them to this album.

09.26.09 - Clemson vs. TCU - Gameday photos and outfits

Well, the Tigers couldn't pull off the W this weekend - but they still held ranked #15 TCU team to only 14 points compared to our 10. The gameday started out great - overcast, a little chilly, and no rain. The entire first half was rainless. And then the monsoon came...right at the end of half time. And it wasn't just rain...it was POURING rain. So I wasn't able to capture too many photos of gameday outfits - so enjoy the photos I was able to get. Hopefully the Wake Forest game will be dry!

09.19.09 - Clemson vs. Boston College - Cute and stylish gameday outfits

We didn't get as many pictures of gameday outfits as we would have liked this weekend. The torrential downpour really put a damper on things. However, the outfits we did manage to catch with our camera were super cute and even in pouring rain looked great!

Visit Two Sisters Boutique for cute and classy gameday apparel!

I’m really starting to wonder where all of these great boutiques were when I was at Clemson. I’ve just found out about a great new boutique in Seneca – Two Sisters Boutique – that’s just a hop, skip, and jump away from Clemson. The family owned and operated boutique is located between Clemson and Seneca on Hwy 123, just pass Palms and next door to Patio and Fireside (click here for a map).

Two Sisters offers customers unique apparel, handbags, accessories and gift items. They also offer custom monogramming – including vinyl monogramming. Two Sisters Boutique will monogram pretty much anything – lamps, glasses, clipboards, tags for your car, cell phone monograms, etc.

The family who owns and runs the boutique are life-long Clemson locals and Clemson University supporters, as well as members of IPTAY. So it’s no surprise that the boutique stocks up on lots of orange and purple items, giving Clemson Girls plenty of cute options for gamedays. That orange, snake skin clutch in the first picture I have to have! (Click on images throughout this post to see a larger view)

Dresses – Two Sisters offers a great selection of unique orange and purple dresses for gameday. You know I’m a huge fan of one shoulder dresses, so the one shoulder orange dress below Two Sisters sells is my favorite! This dress would be perfect for this weekend for the sure to be hot noon game. I also really like the short-sleeved patterned dress below. Sure it has colors that aren’t Clemson, but there’s enough purple and orange in the dress that if you dressed it up with orange jewelry it would make for a different, but cute gameday outfit.

They also carry the cute, short-sleeved ruffle trim dress below – in orange AND purple! Cute! The orange dress will be great in October – paired with knee high brown boots and a jean jacket. What do you think?

Orange and Purple Tops - Two Sisters Boutique also carries a variety of tops that would be cute for the more casual gameday Clemson girl. Any of these tops paired with jeans would make for a super cute (and comfortable) gameday outfit. I am in love with the first top pictured here! This top would be so cute with a white skirt or a jean skirt or jeans. And the orange, quarter length sleeve embroidered tunic is perfect for late October games paired with skinny jeans and brown knee high boots.

Handbags and Purses – Two Sisters also carries a large variety of handbags, purses, and clutches. Look at this entire wall of them below! You can find the perfect handbag for gameday or for any occasion!

So are you already in your car heading to Two Sisters Boutique to get your outfit for next weekend? If not, here’s some more motivation – Two Sisters Boutique is offering all Clemson Girl readers 15% off of your total purchase when you print out this coupon and bring it to their store. Thanks Two Sisters!! You better hurry and use it though, it’s only valid through October 2009.

You can find Two Sisters Boutique on Facebook. They currently have a Web site in the works, so stay tuned. If you have any questions or would like to contact Two Sisters Boutique, you can reach them at 843-882-6200.

Don’t forget to visit Two Sisters Boutique while you’re in town for the Clemson games! So cute and classy – and easy on the wallet! :)

Guest Blog: Cute Plus Size Clemson Gameday Options!

Hey fellow Clemson Girls! My name is Ashley Harvell and I’m a HUGE Clemson fan! I’m actually not an alumni of Clemson but my grandfather was back in the 40’s. I absolutely love Clemson and my favorite season is football season. My husband and I are such huge Clemson fans that we had our wedding in March because we didn’t want to miss a Clemson game! We even had a Clemson themed wedding! But enough about me, this guest blog is about plus size, cute options to wear to Clemson games!

I’m your typical girly-girl/tomboy. I love to dress up and do my makeup and hair and get really pretty, but on the other hand, nothing is better than curling up in a ratty pair of jeans and an oversized t-shirt with no makeup and hair up in baseball cap.

Normally when I go to games, I’m in blue jeans or shorts and a Clemson t-shirt with my hair hidden by a hat. I admit I used to make fun of the girls who were dressed up with the makeup and hair done. Deep down though, I know it was because I was jealous. I’m a curvy girl. I’m like the majority of the country and not a size 0 or 2. I’m a healthy size 18, a 16 on a good day! I love cute stuff, girly stuff but a lot of the stuff that most of the Clemson girls wear I can’t. So I went on a mission to find cute purple and orange dresses and shirts that would look cute on gameday. Lo and behold, there are a lot of great Web sites that have cute stuff for girls like us! I’m with Clemson Girl on this; there are a lot of companies that are closet Clemson fans!

While doing a Google search for orange dresses, the first one I found was this one from Figuresque.com. Its color is listed as tangerine but the picture looks pretty close to the orange we would need.

With the way it’s cut, you could put a long sleeve shirt under it with some brown boots for the cooler games. They also have a very cute purple shirt with a slight cowl neckline. With the necklaces “built” into the shirt, accessorizing would be easy!

One of my favorite stores for curvy girls’ clothes is Old Navy. Their clothes are actually cut very well for us. I wear their jeans and their plus size options are great. The thing I like about them, that puts them #1 on my list, is the fact that their regular women’s collection goes up to size 18/20. Here are two options actually from their women’s collection:

The orange babydoll is on sale for $9.99 and the purple babydoll is on sale for $7.99. How awesome is that?? They go up to size XXL. These are actually shirts and will hit below the hip so they could be paired with a great pair of shorts for the warm games and with leggings and boots for the colder games! These are great gameday options!

Another Old Navy option is this Women’s Plus Belted Kimono Sleeve Dress. It’s a faux wrap with an empire waist so it will hide the stomach if you eat too much tailgating food!

Alright Curvy Clemson Girls!! Here are some starter options for us to look as cute and as confident as our skinnier counterparts! I’ll definitely be sporting some of these with cute accessories and my fave Clemson purse!

Clemson Girl: Thanks Ashley for the awesome post! Ashley is getting a free Clemson Tiger Rag courtesy of clemsontigerrags.com for her contribution. Would you like to be a Guest Blogger for Clemson Girl? Know of a perfect topic for this blog? Email us and let us know!
