10.23.10 - Clemson vs. Georgia Tech gameday photos
The atmosphere in Death Valley yesterday was electric and very, very loud. I'm so glad Dabo got his first win against Georgia Tech. The final score was Clemson 27, Georgia Tech 13.
We had some help from a few awesome ladies yesterday who covered Clemson's campus and captured some amazing gameday photos for all of us to enjoy! Lots of great game day outfits and tailgating ideas in this album and a lot of great photos taken from inside the stadium.
A big thanks to the following ladies: Sara McCarter who has been coming to Clemson games for 25+ years with the same seats and parking spot right near the stadium. Megan Robertson, a freshman genetics major at Clemson, who has a passion for photography. Tina Thadhani, who has been going to Clemson games since she was in second grade and is married to a Georgia Tech alum. And Clarissa Fawver, a local girl from Seneca and a junior psychology major at Clemson.
Also a big thanks to those of you who emailed us some of your photos to include in the album! You can share yours as well - just email them to us at clemsongirlblog@gmail.com.
You can see all of the amazing photos from the Clemson vs. GT game on our Flickr site.
We've also uploaded some new videos to our YouTube site - check them out!

10.16.10 - Clemson vs. Maryland Gameday Photos
Hooray! The Tigers gave us a win yesterday - beating Maryland 31 to 7, despite some questionable officiating...eh hem.
It was also a very memorable game. Clemson legend CJ Spiller returned to Death Valley to retire his jersey - only the third player to ever do so in Clemson football history. He also gave back to the University in the form of a $100,000 donation.
You can watch the video of it here.
We had some volunteer photographers help us out this weekend with the gameday photos - unfortunately one had to back out and another we're still waiting to hear from and will hopefully have her photos added soon.
But one of our volunteers pulled through! Big thanks to Clemson Girl photog for a day - Tabitha Thompson! She captured some amazing photos from the game. Thanks Tabitha!!
You also sent us some pictures that we've added to the albums - we love having so many different perspectives of game day, so please continue to send them in! Email us at clemsongirlblog@gmail.com and we'll add them to the album.
You can view all of the gameday photos from yesterday's game on our Flickr site.
If you're interested in volunteering to be a Clemson Girl photog for a future Clemson home game, please email us (clemsongirlblog@gmail.com) and let us know! You'll receive a $25 gift certificate to the sponsor of your choice.
Only a week until the next Clemson home game and it's a big one... Stay tuned to the blog this week for some more great posts and we'll see you next weekend!

Check out this new hooded jacket from the Game Day Divas that would be a perfect complement to your gameday outfit – available in both orange and purple. It looks so easy to wear and comfortable. This will be a must have at your tailgate as soon as the sun goes down Saturday.
How cute would the orange tiger paw necklace be paired with the purple hooded jacket? You just can’t go wrong with the Game Day Divas.
Make sure you stop by and shop with them this weekend in Clemson at one of their two tent locations – they will be set up in front of Tiger Town Tavern downtown and in the parking lot of Friar’s Tavern (used to be Explorers) down the street from the stadium. Tell them Clemson Girl sent you!
And I hope you follow the Game Day Divas on Facebook - they've just posted a coupon for 20% off of your total purchase! :)

These would look great layered over jeans or over a dress. Perfect for Fall.

Clemson Girl Outfit Design Contest - Winner #1
Last month we asked you ladies to start filling Clemson Girl's closet with new gameday looks, and we have been so excited with the response so far. The outfit designs you've sent us are so creative!
The first winning outfit we selected reminded us of what most Clemson Girls would be wearing to the Maryland game this weekend. Check out this adorable jeans and tiger t-shirt gameday look from April Wade. Clemson Girl looks so cute AND comfortable in this look - and I love the added clutch.
April wins a $50 gift certificate to a Clemson Girl sponsor of her choice! Congrats April!!
We'll be using April's look on Clemson Girl on the blog, our Facebook icon and our Twitter icon through the remainder of the month, and then we'll pick a new winning Clemson Girl outfit. If you've already submitted a design and didn't win this time around, don't worry, your design could still be a winner next time we select a new outfit.
If you haven't submitted an outfit design, but would like to, please read the contest rules and how to create and submit your design. It's easy! The contest will be ongoing through football season and possibly into next year!
Clemson Girl is ready to cheer on the Tigers this weekend... are you??
P.S. We still have two spots remaining for volunteer photographers this weekend's Clemson game. You'll get a $25 gift certificate to a sponsor of your choice. Learn more...

Looking for more gameday photo volunteers...
Happy Tuesday ladies!
Hopefully the sadness from Saturday's loss is starting to wear off by now, and hopefully you're already looking forward to this Saturday and another Clemson home game.
For the last home football game, we asked for a few volunteers to help out with our gameday photos. We were so happy with the results that we thought we'd give it a try again.
We are looking for up to four volunteers to help us capture gameday photos this Saturday at the Clemson vs. Maryland football game. Each volunteer will get a $25 gift card to a sponsor (see the sponsor images to the right -->) of their choice!
All you have to do is take at least 75 digital photos in Clemson on Saturday - at least 15 photos have to be Clemson gameday outfits and the rest can be random (tailgates, inside the game, scenery around Clemson, fans, etc.). Visit our past gameday photos to see the types of photos we're looking for. We'll mail you Clemson Girl business cards by Friday to hand out on Saturday while you take photos.
If you take a ton of photos of you and your friends on gameday already, then this opportunity is perfect for you!
We will take the first four volunteers. All you need to do is email us at clemsongirlblog@gmail.com and let us know that you're interested. If you've volunteered before, please feel free to volunteer again!
If you are a professional photographer and you would like to volunteer to take gameday photos for Clemson Girl, in return you have the option of getting free promotion of your business and Web site on our blog, Facebook page and on Twitter (instead of the gift certificate). In addition, you can place your watermark (as long as it's unobtrusive to the photo) on every photo you take and we credit you and your Web site on every one of your photos in the gameday album. This is a great opportunity to get the word out about your business and showcase your talent!
Deadline for emails is 9 p.m. EST this Wednesday, October 13th. We'll select up to four volunteers on a first come/first serve basis, and only one professional photographer (also first come/first serve). We will contact the selected volunteers no later than midnight on Wednesday, October 13th, with all of the details, etc.
You don't have to be a pro photographer to volunteer - you just need to own a digital camera and love taking photos on Clemson gamedays! We look forward to hearing from you. :)
P.S. If you're interested in this opportunity, but would prefer to participate for another Clemson home game instead - please email us (clemsongirlblog@gmail.com) and let us know!

Clemson makeup inspiration
I'm pretty boring when it comes to makeup - I pretty much wear the same makeup every day.
I recently stumbled across a photo online of a model wearing orange and purple eyeshadow and I thought that trying out something new (and admittedly a little different) would be fun for gameday. Now that the weather is cooling off and you no longer have to worry about your makeup sweating to the bottom of your face, experimenting with some color might be fun.

I know what you're thinking - colored eyeshadow is so 1980. But I think a toned-down version of some of these orange and purple inspirations would make any eye color really pop.

{via} And just for fun - orange lips. Yowza!

What do you think? Have you experimented with bright shades with your makeup on gameday? I love the idea of purple eyes with an orange gameday outfit.Share
