Shop McAuley’s Boutique new Clemson gameday outfits and get 10% off!

Last month we posted about McAuley’s Boutique – Anderson’s first high end, full service women’s boutique. Well, McAuley’s Boutique has gotten in a ton of new orange and purple apparel that would be perfect for your gameday outfits for the remaining Clemson home games.

Visit their store and mention you heard about them on ClemsonGirl.com and get 10% off of your purchase. If you can’t make it to their Anderson store (click here to see a map) or you don’t live in the upstate, you can shop all of their styles online! You still get the 10% discount when you purchase online – just enter in the coupon code CLEMGIRL.

Still don’t know what to wear this weekend? McAuley’s Boutique has told us that if you place your order online by 4 p.m. today (Wednesday, October 14th), your order is guaranteed to get to you by Friday – with no additional shipping charges! Or, if you are traveling to Clemson for the game this weekend, place your order online and then stop by McAuley’s Boutique on your way into town and you can pick it up.

Dresses – McAuley’s Boutique has a great selection of gameday dresses – and even though it’s starting to get cooler on gamedays, you can still pull off these looks by pairing the dress with knee high boots and shrugs, wraps, or cardigans – and add some brown tights or leggings if you’re really cold natured. Of course I’m in LOVE with the one shoulder orange dress – and I love how McAuley’s has the complete outfit – this dress looks hot with the belt and boots. And I’m a big fan of brown and orange together – it just works.

Cardigans and vests – I love these outfits! I was always apprehensive at first to the knee high boots over skinny jeans look, but it didn’t take long for me to be won over. I love it – it gives you another reason to rock your favorite knee high boots without having to wear a skirt or a dress. I must have those brown boots with the tassels – I need them! And I love how you can take the orange vests or cardigans and pair them with a pair of jeans and tank, throw on a belt, and voila…a complete (and comfortable) Clemson gameday outfit! The outfits look so put together… love it!

Jeans, jeans, and more jeans! So you know how I said McAuley’s Boutique is your one stop shop for a complete gameday look? I wasn’t kidding… you can also get your new favorite pair of jeans at their boutique. They sell so many different brands: True Religion, Citizens of Humanity, 7 For All Mankind, David Kahn, and Joe's Jeans. The stylists at McAuley’s will work with you and help you find your perfect fit. I know a lot of girls are scared of the skinny jean..trust me, so was I…but you can’t knock it until you try it on. Seriously..I think all shapes and sizes look great in a pair of skinny jeans with great chunky boots on top. But don’t worry, if you’re still scared of the skinny jean (just try it!), McAuley’s also sells other fits and styles like the ones below – check out the fun details on these jeans.

Orange Coats – So it is almost a definite yes that you will need a nice winter coat for the November games – but chances are your winter coat is any color but orange or purple. I have a black and white houndstooth coat – and I wore it to the Carolina game last year…bad idea. So this year I invested in an orange coat because I know I’m at all the home games, and I know I always have my coat on in the stands during those brisk games in November (like the Clemson vs. USC game).. an orange coat will keep you warm and still let you show your support for the Tigers. It’s worth the investment – especially in a nice one that will last you for years.

McAuley’s Boutique is an obvious choice to get a complete gameday outfit – especially if you have trouble knowing how to piece everything together. You can visit their store in Anderson, but don’t forget you can shop online as well – use the coupon code CLEMGIRL at checkout to get your 10% off.

Also, for any of you college girls who are participating in the Homecoming pageant this year, McAuley’s Boutique specializes in pageant wear and will register your dress so you can guarantee you are the only girl who has the dress. The professional stylists at McAuley’s have the expertise (and experience) to help you find the perfect dress.

Win a $200 shopping spree! From now until Oct. 19th (Monday), visit McAuley's Boutique on Facebook and comment on their wall, photos, or links and you'll be entered in a drawing for a chance to win a $200 shopping spree with McAuley's Boutique! The drawing will be held October 20th. What are you waiting for? Visit McAuley’s Boutique on Facebook and leave a comment - tell them what you think about this blog post!

You still have time to get your gameday outfit for this weekend! Weather is going to be in the 60’s with no rain (hooray), so dress in layers and get your entire gameday outfit at McAuley’s Boutique – you’ll look like you spent months picking it out, when you only took minutes. :)

If you have any questions about the looks above or can't find a style on their Web site, email McAuley's at customerservice@shopmcauleys.com or call 864-226-7773 - you can order these items that way as well (mention ClemsonGirl.com to get your 10% discount).

Clemson Solid Orange Fridays - Work appropriate orange

It's a Clemson tradition for fans to wear orange on every Friday to show unified support for Clemson.

"The Solid Orange campaign was adopted in 2002 as a way to reinvigorate pride and unity in the Clemson family. The central theme was honorable conduct: “Our actions honor our university, its traditions, teams, performance, people and each other.” As a way to promote pride, Clemson students, employees, alumni and fans were encouraged to wear orange at every sporting event and on Fridays." And along with the existing Clemson tradition, the annual College Colors Day celebration is slotted this year for September 4th - our first football game weekend. It was organized by The Collegiate Licensing Company (CLC), the NCAA, and its consortium of colleges and universities.

So all of us Clemson Girls need to wear orange in two weeks... which begs the question for us working Clemson Girls - what to wear? Most of our gameday attire isn't exactly work appropriate - so I scoured the Web looking for some classy, yet comfortable, orange apparel that would identify you as a Clemson fan and still allow you to blend in your professional environment. Whether your company dresses business casual or in suits, you can easily piece these items with your existing work attire.

Button Ups & Blouses - These two blouses would work great with brown or khaki pants or skirts. The sleeveless ruffle blouse would look great paired with a blazer, or for the more casual work environment, a dark jean jacket - minus the gold belt and gold pants in the picture, wow. And the tunic blouse looks like it would be versatile enough to pair with almost anything in your work wardrobe.

Skirts - Whether you pair these skirts with sandals, heels, or knee high boots and brown tights, these would be great additions to your Fall work wardrobe. The floral, paisley patterned skirt is a little wild, but you could tone it down with a simple neautral colored blouse or sweater. Or pair it with a dark brown sweater and brown knee high boots when it gets cooler. And who doesn't appreciate the comfort of smocked waistbands that can easily be hidden by a long sweater? The second skirt is a darker shade of orange (but orange nonetheless), and would be adorable for work with a crisp, white button up (tucked in) or a brown sweater, and brown, suede knee high boots.

Orange Work Dress - This dress pictured below is a darker shade of orange, but would be great for the more casual work environment paired with tan or brown sandals. For the dressier workplace, pair this dress with a fitted brown blazer (if needed) and brown knee high boots or tan pumps. I love the rouching on this dress and it looks like it would be very comfortable - and you can't really beat that price for a nice work dress that you'll get plenty of wear out of.

Orange Cardigan - You can't go wrong with this great orange cardigan sweater that can be paired with pretty much anything you already own. Not only is the price extremely reasonable for what you get, but you could definitely wear this sweater to any Clemson sporting event - so it's not limited to just your work wardrobe.

Orange Jacket - I love this embroidered eyelet jacket. You can dress this up (think khaki dress pants and white blouse) or dress it down (think white t-shirt and jeans). You could even wear this over a dress. Again, as an added bonus to the great price, this would be perfect for a late October football game paired with jeans and dressed up with silver Clemson jewelry. Don't be surprised if you see me wearing this to the Clemson vs. FSU home game with my skinny jeans and brown, suede knee high boots.

Orange layering tanks - Finally, it's easy enough to show your spirit by simply wearing an orange tank or cami and pairing it up with your existing work wardrobe. The two tanks pictured below would be perfectly matched under your blazers, cardigans, v-neck sweaters, or even under a basic, white button up blouse. And yet again - these tops are versatile enough to be worn alone with shorts, skirts, or jeans for any Clemson sporting event. I love the detail on the top on the left, and the top on the right is so simple you could pair it with practically anything.

So tell us what you wear on Solid Orange Fridays - comment on this blog or email us pictures. What do you think about the choices above?
