What happens at Dabo's Ladies Clinic...

...stays at the Ladies Clinic.

This is the fun motto of Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney's Ladies Clinic - held every July to raise money for breast cancer research, a cause that hits close to home for Dabo and his wife Kathleen.

The Ladies Clinic is a day long event where Clemson females come together and spend the day with Dabo, the other football coaches, the coaches' wives and the Clemson football team. This year the clinic will be held on Saturday, July 23rd.

You can easily register for the clinic online. Plus, you can register with your friends and families to ensure you get in the same group.

We went last year, and TRUST ME, you will not be disappointed. Some of the activities include meet and greet with the Clemson football coaches, including a tour of the offices, Q&A session with all of the coaches' wives, a shopping section featuring a lot of our amazing sponsors, a 'talent show' featuring Clemson football players, and of course one of the favorites...a tour of the Clemson football team weight room -- complete with Clemson football hunks players. :)

Check out all of our photos from last years Ladies Clinic.

The cost of the clinic is only $60 with $15 of it going directly to breast cancer research (tax deductible) AND $15 will be matched by Dabo and Kathleen, also to go towards breast cancer research.

Every attendant gets a goody bag with free t-shirts and fun coupons, etc. The event is sponsored by AnMed Health.

We will be there again this year, setting up with Clemson Girl sponsor Tickled Orange to help sell our Clemson Girl t-shirts which raise money for Dabo's All In Team Foundation. I will definitely be wearing my shirt - show your support for Dabo's All In Team foundation by ordering a shirt of your own and wearing it to the clinic!

Do you really need an excuse to come back to Clemson before football season? It's hot in July, but well worth it...especially since you're supporting such a great cause.

Still not convinced? Ok... maybe this will help (sorry you have to turn your head sideways)...

Or if you're more of a romantic who likes to be serenaded...who would've thought Clemson football players could sing? :)

We hope to see all of your there representing Clemson Girls!

"You might be a Clemson Girl if..." Contest

We are thrilled and very, very excited to announce a brand new Clemson Girl contest in partnership with one of our fave sponsors, Tickled Orange.

All we need you to do is finish the sentence "You might be a Clemson Girl if..." We will pick the best 10 responses, and together with Tiger Town Graphics, put them on a very cute Clemson Girl "You might be a Clemson Girl if..." t-shirt that will be sold, starting in May, online and in the Tickled Orange store in Clemson.

The best part about this contest is that all of the proceeds from the t-shirt sales will be donated to Dabo's All In Team Foundation at Dabo's Ladies Clinic, July 23rd, which raises money for the Susan G. Komen for the Cure. The funds are used to promote early cancer screening, detection and continued research.

The individuals who submit the winning top 10 responses will get the Clemson Girl t-shirt for free in the size of their choice, a few other surprise goodies and recognition on ClemsonGirl.com... not to mention being part of an effort to raise money for a very worth cause! Winners will be notified the end of April and the t-shirt design with the top 10 responses will be revealed and available to buy the beginning of May!

Deadline for "You might be a Clemson Girl if..." entries is Midnight EST, Friday, April 15th. Get creative, make it humorous, keep it clean.. but remember to keep it short and to the point - after all, it has to fit on a t-shirt! :)

Fill out the form below and click the 'submit' button to submit your entry. Scroll below the form to read the full contest rules. We can't wait to see your entries! Help us spread the word about this contest - share it on Facebook!

New Year's Resolutions Week - #5

Get more involved in my community and help good causes...

Read this great article from MyLifetime.com on ten super easy ways you can volunteer your time and give back to your community.

You can also support a great cause that's very important to Dabo Swinney and his wife Kathleen... plan on attending this year's Dabo's All In Foundation Ladies Clinic. The cost is only $60 and $15 of that goes straight to cancer research. And on top of that, Dabo and Kathleen match every $15!

The $60 gets you a spot at the day-long Ladies Clinic held in and around the stadium plus a free lunch. We had a blast last year, and I highly recommend you go! This year's clinic will be held Saturday, July 23rd.

Who wouldn't want to be serenaded by cute football players? :)

Another worthy cause you should consider is donating your money (or time) to Clemson's Tiger Band. Their scholarships are limited, and the ones they can give are funded by alumni and other generous patrons. Tiger Band members donate A LOT of their time to participating in the band while juggling classes, etc. Could you imagine a football game without Tiger Band??

You can donate directly to Tiger Band through an organization called CUTBA, or you can shop for some neat Tiger Band 'stuff' that helps support their cause.

I highly recommend purchasing the Tiger Band music CD - it's a great gift idea and it's always fun to have Tiger Rag handy to play whenever you need it... like when your gamecock friends are near. :)

What are some ways you give back to your community? Are you volunteering your time for a good cause? Post a comment and share your story.

Breast Cancer Awareness Week

Hello ladies...

Many of you probably know, but October is breast cancer awareness month, and this week is dedicated to the cause.
According the American Cancer Society, "...breast cancer is the second leading cause of cancer death in women, exceeded only by lung cancer. The chance that breast cancer will be responsible for a woman's death is about 1 in 35 (about 3%). Death rates from breast cancer have been declining since about 1990, with larger decreases in women younger than 50. These decreases are believed to be the result of earlier detection through screening and increased awareness, as well as improved treatment."

In 2010, there are more than 2.5 million breast cancer survivors in the U.S. Wow.

Clemson coach Dabo Swinney and his wife Kathleen are big supporters of breast cancer research and started Dabo's All In Team Foundation to help raise money for the Susan G. Komen for the Cure non-profit.

Dabo's Ladies Clinic, that a bunch of us participated in this past summer, raised $30,600 for Susan G. Komen for the Cure.

Follow Dabo's All in Team Foundation on Facebook.

Now, Dabo's All In Team Foundation is partnering with Clemson Greeks and Tigertown Graphics to raise more funds for breast cancer prevention and research. They are selling custom designed pink t-shirts for both men and women through the month of October.

The shirts are only $16.00 each. You can purchase them at Tigertown Graphics in Clemson, online at Tigertown Graphics website or through the participating Clemson Greek organizations.

Support the cause and snag one of these shirts and get one for your man too... make him wear pink. :)

What to wear? I haven't decided yet - but dress for warm temperatures. The high on Saturday is going to be about 94 degrees! View the complete weekend's weather for Clemson.

I'm definitely excited about trying out this clinic for the first time. Have you been before? Any tips for us first timers? What to wear? What to bring? etc. Comment on this blog with your past ladies clinic experiences and any advice for the newbies.

See everyone this weekend! Go Tigers!! Go Dabo!
