Are you ready for some football?

Can you believe it's officially football season? This year has really flown by! I am so ready for Clemson gamedays and Fall weather...this is absolutely my favorite time of year.

Clemson vs. PC

Who's going to the game? If it's your first time at a Clemson home football game, check out this nifty, online guide, "The Tiger Fan's Guide to Clemson Football Game Days", created by IPTAY and the Clemson Athletic Department. It has useful tips even for experienced Clemson fans. Also make sure you read up on some new Death Valley policies for game days. No backpacks folks.

If you make it into Clemson early on Friday, make sure you check out the First Friday Parade - starts at 6pm. The theme this year is, "History WILL Repeat Itself".

Clemson vs. PC

Looks like the weather will be nice for the weekend, but hot (as it usually is the first game). I guess we should be glad it's not a Noon game, but 3:30 PM games can be just as hot. I need to remember to get batteries for my gameday lap fan (best purchase ever!). :) And pack sunscreen!

And remember that if you are drinking 'adult' beverages on Saturday, make sure you drink plenty of water too...your body will thank you on Sunday.

Besides tailgating on Clemson gamedays, we also love seeing everyone's gameday fashion! We try to capture as many photos of you in your gameday best as we can, so don't be surprised if someone approaches you and wants to take your picture for ClemsonGirl.com. :)

Speaking of photos - we always try to take as many photos around Clemson on gameday as we can, but it's hard to get everywhere, so we're looking for volunteers again this year to help capture Clemson's gamedays. All we ask is that you take at least 75 unique photos throughout the day (tailgating fun, gameday outfits, inside the stadium, etc.) and then email them to us on Sunday by midnight EST. All volunteer photographers get a $25 gift certificate to a sponsor of their choice (businesses on the right side of this blog -->). If you're interested, send us an email (clemsongirlblog@gmail.com)!

Clemson vs. PC

Don't forget to wear orange on Friday for Solid Orange Fridays! Why not wear your Clemson Girl t-shirt? I'm sure it's totally work appropriate, right? :)

And on a completely unrelated note - we must take care of some unfinished business from last week. We never heard from the winner of The Sassy Palmetto giveaway, so we drew a new winner. Congrats to Lauren B. from Summerville, SC! Lauren, please email us to claim your tiger paw sculpture prize (clemsongirlblog@gmail.com). You have until Thursday at Noon EST!

See everyone at the game this weekend! Who's ready for another great season!?! Go Tigers!!

Cute tiger costume for your little tiger fans...

Did you see this picture of Caroline's little boy from our gameday photo album from this weekend?

Isn't this just the cutest thing? He loved running around in his costume, growling and pretending to be a tiger. The costume was so cute - it had a tail, removable paw gloves, and a removable Tiger hat. And the bonus was that he stayed nice and warm all day...

If you'd like a tiger costume like this for your little Clemson fan, you can bid for one on e-bay! Caroline has a few extras - She has only one baby costume left for 6-12 months, 3 left for 2-4 years, and 7 mediums for 12-24 months.

You can bid or buy any of the costumes she has left on e-bay - visit her full listings page to find the size you need.

Caroline is donating 10% of the final sale price to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

This outfit would be so cute and perfect for this weekend's game. Hurry up and bid if you're interested before someone else snags them!

So cute....

Michelle DiMaio Photography – Capture special moments of your little Tiger fans

When I put out the call for help last week for Clemson’s homecoming weekend, I was more than thrilled to get an email from an old Clemson friend, a sorority sister of mine, Michelle DiMaio. Michelle owns and runs her own photography business, Michelle DiMaio Photography, that specializes in natural light photography of newborns, babies, toddlers, and children. She took some amazing pictures for us this weekend, so I just had to share more of what she can do so you could see how truly talented she is…and maybe you’ll be swayed to give her a call and let her capture special moments of your little ones!

Michelle is a 2001 Clemson alum, married to a fellow alum, who grew up in Charleston in a full family of Clemson alumni. She is now raising her own Clemson family with three adorable kids - two boys ages 6 and 4, and a beautiful little girl, age 2.

Michelle’s passion is photographing children, and you can tell from her work that she has an eye for capturing the sweet sides and personalities of these cuties. Michelle photographs in Clemson, Anderson, and Seneca – and sometimes on limited occasions in Charleston. She works exclusively "on location" and photographs children outdoors at a local park or indoors and outdoors at your home.

Visit Michelle’s Web site to read more details about her sessions, how to book, pricing, and how to contact her – make sure you schedule early (especially for newborns), she gets booked weeks (and sometimes months) in advance!

Check out some of the photos she’s taken – these are so precious. Click the image to see a larger view…

Go on and admit it…you just said “Aww” out loud didn’t you? You can see even more of her photo sessions on her blog: http://michelledimaiophotography.blogspot.com/ Go ahead and block off your calendar this afternoon – trust me, you’re going to spend the rest of the day looking at all of the cute photos on her blog. :)

Here is by far my favorite photo from the photos she took homecoming weekend – and the most viewed photo of the set so far. Don’t you just want to scoop up this little Tiger and squeeze him! What a cutie!

This Tiger cub’s mom, Ellyn Reeder, sent us pictures on Twitter of Michelle capturing this moment – you know someone must be passionate about getting the perfect shot if she’s willing to lay down on the muddy, wet field..on her stomach no less..to get the picture. Michelle just emailed me and said she actually has orange paint stains on her jeans - but said it was totally worth it to get this shot.

Here are a few others from Michelle’s Clemson bunch that I loved… click the images for a larger view…

So please take the time to visit Michelle DiMaio’s Web site - http://michelledimaiophotography.com/ – and visit her photos from our Clemson Homecoming photo album and comment on your favorites. You can also keep track of Michelle and her photos by becoming a fan of her Facebook page.

Thanks Michelle for helping us out and for sharing your talent with us!

Funky Footwear Friday - Not your usual gameday shoes

I'm pretty boring when it comes to my footwear selection for gamedays. I'm pretty consistent with orange or white flip flops for the warmer games, and knee high sweater boots or 'ugg' style boots for the colder games. Usually brown.

My original idea for this post was "Where to Find Orange Flip Flops", and as I was 'researching' online I kept stumbling across some really funky and fun shoes that I'm not sure I could pull off - but thought they were worth posting here for your fabulous, fashion forward Clemson Girls who might take the risk.

I found these two pairs of flip flops while searching for orange flip flops. I like the sheen and shineness to them - makes it more unique than your usual orange flip flops. I love, love the skull and crossbones flip flops - I'm definitely buying a pair. So cute and unexpected.

These shoes are probably one of my favorites out of the funky footwear I found online today. I know light blue isn't necessarily a Clemson color, but how cute would these be with khaki shorts or skirt and an orange polo? And the Palmetto Tree makes it all the more relevant.

These shoes are pretty wild - but the fact that they were orange AND purple caught my eye. Like I mentioned earlier, I'm not so sure I could pull these off - but these would be a fun way to add to a basic, plain orange or purple dress. Just slip these on with your jean skirt and orange T-shirt... something fun and different for your gameday outfit. Did I mention comfortable???

I've never been a Crocs kind of girl. I don't mind them on other people, but something about the way they look just keeps me from buying a pair. However, I stumbled across this pair of purple Crocs that I actually could see myself wearing. They are styled like ballet flats, but still made of the durable Croc material. So you would look like you're wearing cute flats with your outfit, but still have the comfort and tread of the Croc -- not to mention the holes would be great ventilation for your feet on the hot game days!

I also came across this perfect pair of orange, tiger-striped flip flops! Ok, well it says 'Zebra Orange', but it looks more Tiger to me, right? These are pretty basic flip flops, but the fact that they look Tiger print makes them perfect for a Clemson sporting event. The only downside? They only come in size 9 on this Web site. You might be able to search by the name of the item and find it online on another site in more sizes...if you do, please post a link in the comments section of this blog. Until then... you size 9 Clemson Girls are the lucky ones who can snag these!

So some of us might not be able to pull off the funkier fashions when it comes to gameday footwear, but the little Tiger fans sure can! The funkier and more fun the shoe, the cuter the kids look - so not to leave them out, here are two fun styles for your little Clemson Girls.

These orange and white butterfly flip flops are too adorable. I really wish they made them in adult sizes - I would buy a pair. :) These would be cute on any toddler Clemson Girl for gameday, and the price is hard to beat.

Last, but definitely not least, here are the funkiest footwear of the bunch - and of course they are for the little Tiger Fans. These Tiger Paw flip flops are hilarious - I laughed out loud when I came across these. I can't even picture what they must look like on, but they must be a ton of fun for kids to wear. And surely these must be difficult to walk around in - so put these on your kids for gameday and they will probably be less likely to run off...and if they tried, they wouldn't make it very far in these. If any of you have these for your kids, or buy them, please, please send a picture of what they look like on.

So what do you think of these funky gameday footwear? Would you sport any of these shoes to a Clemson game?
