Top 10 reasons you should go to Dabo's Ladies Clinic

Have you had the opportunity to attend Dabo Swinney's All In Team Foundation Ladies Clinic? This event is a must-have on every Clemson Girl's bucket list.

The Ladies Clinic is a day-long event in Little John Colliseum and Death Valley, filled with everything a Clemson Girl could ask for - shopping, fashion show, comedy, female bonding, football players.... did we mention football players? :)

But the best part about this event is that it not only educates Clemson Girls on breast cancer detection, but also helps raise A LOT of money for breast cancer education and research. A worthy cause that is dear to Dabo's and his wife Kathleen's hearts.

This year's event is Saturday, July 20th. Registration starts at 7:15am and the day's events go until 4 p.m. The cost is only $60 ($15 will be matched by Dabo and donated to breast cancer research) and includes a free lunch. The event is open to ladies of all ages. So bring your sisters, your mother, your daughters, your girlfriends -- it's a great way to spend a Saturday and probably some of the best $60 you will ever spend.

It's not too late...you can still register! They are expecting record numbers in attendance this year, but they do have to limit attendance, so act fast before it books up.

Still not convinced? Ok... well let me count down the top 10 reasons you should attend...

Top 10 Reasons Clemson Girls
Should Attend Dabo's Ladies Clinic

10. You get an entire hour dedicated to shopping. Almost the entire wrap-around walkway of Little John is filled with tables - or mini-boutiques if you will - for your shopping pleasure. It's as if you're in a Clemson Mall - with every imaginable Clemson boutique, vendor, artist, crafter, etc. (Tip: Bring cash, not all vendors accept credit cards.)

9. Attendees get to run down the hill in Death Valley at the end of the day. Then you pose for a group photo that you can purchase later.

8. You get to meet and greet with all of the coaches, coaches' wives, and some of the football players throughout the day. (Tip: Bring a marker and something 'Clemson' for them to sign for you! If you want to meet Dabo, get a photo with him, and get his autograph, get to the clinic EARLY. The line to meet Dabo in the morning gets very looooooooong.)

Remember this guy? You never know whose autograph you might get!

7. You never know what to expect at the Ladies Clinic - from dancing contests, visits from the Governer of South Carolina, musical performances from football players (did you know Tajh Boyd could rap? well...he tried), and other hilarious surprises... see below!

6. You get lots of free Clemson 'swag' - including a free Ladies Clinic t-shirt. The photo below is the shirt from the event in 2011. Look familiar? :)

5. Clemson Girl will be there selling all of our Clemson Girl 'swag'. We will have a table set up in the shopping section this year with lots of affordable goodies for you to purchase - including our decals (perfect for car windows, the back of your laptop or iPad, coolers, etc.), koozies, and our "Kiss Me I'm a Clemson Girl" t-shirts! We will also be selling a brand new Clemson Girl shirt that you will definitely want for the first game to keep cool. We only have a limited number, so make sure you come find us before your size sells out! We can't wait to meet you.

4. You will get lots of Clemson gameday fashion inspiration. Clemson Girls come to the Ladies Clinic decked out in their Clemson gear. Whether it's cute gameday dresses or custom designed t-shirts just for the Ladies Clinic, it's fun to see what all the attendees are wearing. The Ladies Clinic even gives out an award for best designed t-shirt.

3.The.Weight.Room. You will hear the phrase, "What happens at the Ladies Clinic, stays at the Ladies Clinic". Well, that phrase probably stems from the weight room portion of the day. You get a special tour of the football players' weight room and a special...er...introduction to some of our football players. It's really all in good fun, and it is fascinating to see how hard our players work to get in top shape for the games. And hey... who doesn't love a little eye candy?? :)

2. You learn more about breast cancer - how to detect it and how you can help others. But you also meet Clemson Girls who are currently affected by breast cancer or are survivors. There will be many tear jerking moments throughout the day like this one...

And the number one reason you should attend Dabo Swinney's All In Team Foundation Ladies Clinic is......

{drumroll}

1. You will be supporting a wonderful, wonderful cause! Each year, the Ladies Clinic raises more and more money for breast cancer research. Just your registration alone helps the cause -- but the day is filled with opportunities to do even more to help raise money. You leave the event not only having had a fabulous time, but you leave with a full heart knowing that Clemson Girls can come together, celebrate Clemson football, but also celebrate one another and support such a worthy cause that affects so many of us.

.............

Now really.... what are you waiting for?

REGISTER NOW!

We hope to see you there!

Now...Clemson Girls who have attended the Ladies Clinic before, comment on this post and tell us your favorite part about attending Dabo Swinney's Ladies Clinic!

Clemson St. Patrick's Day Looks

Good morning Clemson Girls!

We are so excited with the response to the Clemson Girl St. Patrick's Day shirts - they are selling like crazy! We can't wait to see your photos from St. Patrick's Day of you wearing your Clemson Girl t-shirt. :)

Since Ireland's flag is white, green and orange, your Clemson Girl t-shirt is perfect for showing your Clemson AND Irish spirit on St. Patrick's Day.

When you think of wearing a t-shirt, typically you think t-shirt and jeans or t-shirt and shorts. Simple and easy, right? But you don't have to go typical when you style a t-shirt -- especially on St. Patrick's Day! And don't forget your Clemson Girl Koozie to complement your shirt!

We took our Clemson Girl St. Patrick's Day t-shirt and styled it FOUR different ways: Simple, Glam, Cozy and Quirky. Which style best suits your personality?

First style is 'Simple'. Green on green? You bet. It's St. Patrick's Day! Break up the green with a simple white cardigan, pair with comfy flip flops, fun St. Patrick's Day accessories, and you're ready to go!

Clemson St. Patrick's Day Look - Simple

Maybe your St. Patrick's Day even is a little more upscale, or maybe you just want to be the center of attention at the pub? Pair your t-shirt with a fun, sequined skirt and cute flats to recreate this 'Glam' look. Add flashy accessories and you're ready to go celebrate.

Clemson St. Patrick's Day Look - Glam

Planning for a long St. Patrick's Day, and you just want to be comfortable? Try our 'Cozy' look. The Clemson Girl St. Patrick's Day t-shirts are long enough to be paired with black leggings. Add more green with fun knee socks that will peek above the top of your boots.

Clemson St. Patrick's Day Look - Cozy

Finally, here's the style that I will most likely be emulating on St. Patrick's Day - 'Quirky'. St. Patrick's Day is one of those few holidays where you can really go all out and over the top with your fun green accessories. Don't have a green skirt or shorts? No worries - put on a green dress like this one below from Old Navy. Wear your Clemson St. Patrick's Day shirt over it and cinch it in at the waist with a belt. Easy and flattering. Knee high socks, green shoes, and lots of green beads - you can't go wrong!

Clemson St. Patrick's Day Look - Quirky

What do you think of these four looks? Which look best matches your personality and personal style? Tell us in the comments of this post.

Have you purchased your Clemson Girl St. Patrick's Day shirt and Clemson Girl koozie yet? Don't wait until it's too late - buy now!

2012 Dabo Swinney's Ladies Clinic Recap

We were going to post our recap yesterday -- but we were still recooperating from the long day Saturday and all of the fun from the 2012 All In Team Foundation Ladies Clinic.

IMG_1518

The Ladies Clinic had over 1000 women attending according to Dabo. The day was jam packed with great activities and fun - from the 'Wife Swap' game, to Elvis, to 'Dancing with the Football Stars' - I think every lady there had a fabulous time.

IMG_1695

Fellow Clemson Girl and Governor Nikki Haley attended!

IMG_1663

And Clemson student Ali Rogers, the new Miss South Carolina, was also there to participate. She is definitely a contender for Miss America in January of next year -- and we loooove her dress.

IMG_1720

And of course, the main reason we were all there was to raise money for breast cancer research - over $26,000 was raised! The lady in the red shirt next to Kathleen is a 94 year old breast cancer survivor - talk about inspiration!

IMG_1761

This year we had our very own table set up... some of you may not have found us since we were ALL the way on the end of the shopping section, and with limited 'shopping' time, we missed a lot of you.

IMG_1517

But for those of you who ventured to the end of the vendor carousel, it was so nice to meet you and we even saw our Clemson Girl t-shirts on a few of you. :) One girl told us she read about the Ladies Clinic on our blog and that's why she went - very cool!

We loved seeing the Clemson gameday inspired outfits - painted Toms shoes, cute new Clemson tees, homemade Clesmon belts...and how cute are these Tiger stripe inspired nails?

IMG_1510

We were selling our new Clemson Girl swag...which will soon be available to purchase online (details coming soon).

IMG_1652

We also gave away a pair of these very POPULAR Clemson Jack Rogers Navajo sandals.

IMG_1650

Take a look at the photos we captured from the day on our Flickr site or in the slideshow below. We have video coming soon - videos of the 'Dancing with the Football Stars' which are hilarious! Stay tuned...

Did you attend the Ladies Clinic this year? What was your favorite part of the day?

This event is always a great coming together of female Clemson fans -- it's for a great cause and it always gets everyone super excited for the upcoming football season. Can you believe it's only 39 days away until our first game?!? Whoo hoo!
