Wedding Wednesday - Allison and Jason Clemson Wedding

Happy Wednesday Clemson Girls! I have decided to extend our Wedding Wednesday series into July since I was unable to post the past two weeks. I feel really bad about it, because I have made you wait to see this beautiful Clemson wedding shared with us by Clemson Girl Allison. Her wedding was oh-so-Clemson and oh-so-gorgeous... so many ideas for the future Clemson Girl bride-to-be. We have so many photos from her wedding to share because it was so hard to narrow it down! Enjoy!

Meet Allison and Jason. Both Clemson alums - Allison 2004 Marketing; Jason 2005 Landscape Architecture.

The two met at Tiger Town Tavern in 2003, dated for a little while, then remained friends over the years. Jason obviously couldn't live without Allison... ;) and the two were an official couple by March of 2009. The relationship grew stronger over the years, even surviving a long distance relationship.

The Proposal - as told by Allison
Jason and I went to Edisto Beach in June of 2013 with my family. On June 17th, he and I had decided to wake up early and go take pictures of the sun rising at Botany Bay (pictured below). The "no see-ums" were AWFUL that morning. We were hurrying along to stay moving and when we were toward the end, I turned around and Jason was down on one knee. Edisto was already one of our favorite places but now it is extra special for us. When we returned to the house, I had a promise to live up to...my nieces insisted they be the first to know when Jason finally popped the question. So first thing when we got back, I snuck up the stairs and woke them to tell them the news. They were so excited to hear that Jason would finally be their Uncle.

Clemson has always been a very special part of the couple's relationship. They met there, rekindled their past romance there, went to a ton of Clemson football games together and ultimately "tied the knot" in Clemson. The two are die-hard Clemson fans and wish they could live there.

Allison's and Jason's wedding was at the Madren Center overlooking Lake Hartwell and the golf course. They had planned to have the ceremony on the lawn and then have the reception under the Pavilion, but the weather was uncertain so all of the wedding took place under the Pavilion. It actually turned out to be perfect because there was actually a better view of the Lake from the Pavilion... plus, the couple didn't have to worry about a down pour even though it ended up being a beautiful day.

Allison and Jason had a super cute and unique 'Save the Date' idea - it was a magnet with a picture of their Clemson rings (pictured below).

The couple's engagement pictures were done at the Clemson Botanical Gardens and in downtown Clemson.

Clemson was a major theme in the couple's wedding. The Grooms Cake was made like a Clemson Cooler. The guestbook was the Trent Allen Book - "There's Something In These Hills".

The bride's shoes were orange, the bridesmaids dresses were orange (J. Crew), and the flowers were a mix of orange/yellow/white.

I am in love with their wedding cake!

Allison told us, "I used a lot of tans and whites to soften the orange so it really made the orange 'pop'."

And of course the Tiger made an appearance!

They had boiled peanuts as favors in little burlap bags.

"One of my favorite parts of our wedding" Allison says, "was that we planted a beautiful maple tree at our ceremony using soil from each of our family's land. It was really special and fit us well since we have spent our first year of marriage doing a lot of yard work. Our "direction sign" represents both of our hometowns (Lexington & Rock Hill), Maine (our honeymoon), Botany Bay (where we got engaged), and Death Valley (our favorite place)."

The happily wedded couple entered the reception to "Eye of the Tiger", exited after the reception to a piano version of Tiger Rag, and left the Madren Center on a Clemson University Golf Cart.

Allison's engagement and wedding photos were taken by the very talented Kenny Fey photography. Special thanks to Kenny Fey for allowing us to share these amazing photos.

And a big, big, big thank you to Allison for reaching out to us to share her Clemson wedding and sweet love story. Such an amazing wedding! Best wishes to the happy couple!
