Breast Cancer Awareness Week

Hello ladies...

Many of you probably know, but October is breast cancer awareness month, and this week is dedicated to the cause.
According the American Cancer Society, "...breast cancer is the second leading cause of cancer death in women, exceeded only by lung cancer. The chance that breast cancer will be responsible for a woman's death is about 1 in 35 (about 3%). Death rates from breast cancer have been declining since about 1990, with larger decreases in women younger than 50. These decreases are believed to be the result of earlier detection through screening and increased awareness, as well as improved treatment."

In 2010, there are more than 2.5 million breast cancer survivors in the U.S. Wow.

Clemson coach Dabo Swinney and his wife Kathleen are big supporters of breast cancer research and started Dabo's All In Team Foundation to help raise money for the Susan G. Komen for the Cure non-profit.

Dabo's Ladies Clinic, that a bunch of us participated in this past summer, raised $30,600 for Susan G. Komen for the Cure.

Follow Dabo's All in Team Foundation on Facebook.

Now, Dabo's All In Team Foundation is partnering with Clemson Greeks and Tigertown Graphics to raise more funds for breast cancer prevention and research. They are selling custom designed pink t-shirts for both men and women through the month of October.

The shirts are only $16.00 each. You can purchase them at Tigertown Graphics in Clemson, online at Tigertown Graphics website or through the participating Clemson Greek organizations.

Support the cause and snag one of these shirts and get one for your man too... make him wear pink. :)
