Wedding Wednesday - Deidra and Kevin's Clemson Wedding

We are so in love with all of the orange and purple details in this beautiful Clemson wedding. From the groomsmen's socks to the gorgeous bouquet, you are going to love, love, love these Clemson wedding photos!

Meet Deidra and Kevin.

Clemson plays a major role in Deidra's life. Not only is she a diehard Clemson fan, but she comes from a family full of Clemson alums. One of her Aunts was even inducted by the Tiger Brotherhood and was honored by getting to dot the 'i' in Tigers at the Clemson Homecoming football game in 2013.

Deidra and Kevin met in Las Vegas! Apparently, what happens in Vegas doesn't always stay there. :) Kevin is from Washington State and Deidra is from South Carolina. After a brief stint in Washington, Deidra decided to make him a Southern boy and the couple moved to South Carolina where they have lived for 2 1/2 years.

Seven months after they originally met, Kevin proposed to Deidra in Las Vegas. He got down on one knee and asked her to marry him in the very same spot where they first met.

We asked Deidra how Clemson has played a role in the couple's relationship. Deidra told us, "Since moving down South we have been to numerous Clemson games. Although my husband says he is a Oregon Ducks fan, he has more Orange in his closet than anything!"

Deidra wanted a Clemson-esque wedding for many reasons. "My parents have taken me to Clemson games since I was a little girl," Deidra said, "I knew I was doing Orange and Purple for my wedding so I decided to incorporate some Clemson into it as well. I am a fanatic! Until recently, my master bedroom was orange."

Deidra's photos were taken by Photos by Allison photography. Visit their website or check out more photos on Facebook.

A big, big thanks to Deidra for sharing her Clemson Wedding photos and her story with us today! Lots of great ideas for a Clemson Girl's wedding.

Wedding Wednesday - Jordan and Ryan Clemson engagement photos + love story

Good morning Clemson Girls! Love is in the air today - you will love these Clemson engagement photos taken by the talented Naisang Photography!

Meet today's lovely featured couple, Jordan and Ryan.

Jordan and Ryan both went to Clemson and met in Nursing School. Ryan was only one of two guys in a class of 70 girls. The couple had classes together for three and a half years before they started dating. The fall of their senior year, they were in the same clinical group which means they pretty much spent all of their time together. That November, they went on their very first date.

Jordan and Ryan both graduated in May of 2011 and wound up working in the same hospital after graduation.

The Proposal - as told by Jordan
In the summer of 2013, we went on a beach trip with Ryan’s family to Isle of Palms, SC. They had rented a house and his whole family was there. We got there on a Sunday, and Ryan’s sister, Kelsey, was taking her nursing boards the next day (she had graduated in May from Clemson Nursing School). So I spent most of the day helping her try not to be too stressed, and meanwhile I never noticed how nervous Ryan was.

That evening Ryan wanted me to go with him to run errands and to go look at a place to get a “family picture” later on in the week. As I was getting ready, Ryan came in and asked me to look cute, which I thought was strange, but at the same time a total Ryan thing to say.

When we left, we did a little tour of the island and joked about buying a 14 million dollar home. The store we were planning on going to was actually torn down, so we went straight to the Isle of Palms inlet. I had never been there and it was beautiful. We took a few “test pictures” before he pulled me really close. He told me he loved me and then told me to close my eyes. Of course I asked why, but he just told me to do it. When I opened my eyes he was on one knee. He told me he loved me more than anything and that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with me. Of course I said yes!

When we left the inlet I immediately wanted to call my parents, but he told me to wait until we got back to the house. When we got there, I realized MY whole family was there! He had arranged for them to come and be there to celebrate! It was the sweetest, most thoughtful thing anyone had ever done for me.

Jordan told us that Clemson holds a special place in the couple's heart because it brought the two of them together. Jordan said, "We had more fun at Clemson that last semester just getting to know one another. The end of football season, baseball games, and a Zac Brown Concert are moments we will never forget."

So it was a no brainer for the couple to have their engagement photos taken in Clemson. "We spent a lot of time there and we want it to play a role as our family grows," Jordan said. "We hope that our children grow up going to Clemson games and come to love it as much as we do!"

They also included their dog, Layla. Jordan told us that she is a huge part of their relationship and so they had to include her in the photo shoot! :)

The couple recently married and the Tiger Cub made a surprise appearance. The couple also had an ice sculpture with a tiger paw and with initials in the middle. And of course, they included a lot of their Clemson engagement all around the reception.

What sweet photos and what a sweet love story to go along with them. Special thanks to Naisang Photography for sharing these beautiful photos with us today. Please visit their Facebook page and 'Like' them.

Also, a very special thanks to Jordan and Ryan for agreeing to let us share their stories, but more importantly, for agreeing to share their love story!

Wedding Wednesday - Beryl + Trey Clemson Wedding

Good afternoon Clemson Girls! We are thrilled to be able to post TWO Wedding Wednesday posts today thanks to the amazing Red Apple Tree Photography and a super sweet couple.

Earlier today we shared Clemson alums Beryl and Trey's gorgeous Clemson engagement photos and their sweet, sweet love story. If you haven't yet, please make sure you check it out...

Red Apple Tree Photography also shared Beryl and Trey's Clemson wedding photos with us, and they were so beautiful, and the wedding was so creative, we HAD to share them with you!

Here are some details from our post earlier today about the couple's wedding:
Beryl and Trey got married under the Owen Pavilion at the Clemson University Conference Center. The same place where Beryl had her class ring ceremony. "So I received the two rings that I wear every day in the same place!", Beryl said, "The view of Lake Hartwell was absolutely stunning as the sun was setting!!"

Clemson Wedding Traditions & Ideas: Beryl told us, "We had a Clemson garter, a Clemson groom's cake, a Clemson alumni picture, and of course cheered as loud as possible for Tiger Rag! My favorite Clemson touch, though, was our last song. When we were at Clemson, we were regulars at Tiger Town Tavern. We would frequently stay until close, and Triple TTT's last song of the night is 'Wagon Wheel' by Old Crow Medicine Show. So, just like old times, our last song was Wagon Wheel as well!" Love, love, love this idea!

We asked Beryl if there was anything else special she wanted to share with us, and she said, "Something that was very special to me was that my dad performed the wedding ceremony. He still walked me down the aisle of course! But after he handed me off to Trey, he just kept on going to the front of the alter to begin the ceremony. My dad means so much to me that I really wanted him, not anyone who we were not as close to, to perform the ceremony, so he became a notary public just for us!

And I couldn't have pulled the wedding off without my beautiful mother. She made every single burlap detail by hand, including over 100 tiny burlap favor bags! She hand-painted signs for the flower girl, welcome table, and our sweetheart table and made all of my bridesmaids gifts! Everywhere I looked on the wedding day reminded me of how talented and special she is to me.

Another really special detail was our main color: aquamarine. My name, Beryl, is a mineral that can come in many different forms, one of which is the stone aquamarine. AND to make it even more precious, Trey's birthstone is...aquamarine :) So tell me that the fact that my name is Trey's birthstone doesn't mean it was meant to be! ;)"

It was so hard to not want to share ALL of their photos - want to see them all? Visit Red Apple Tree Photography's website and view the entire gallery!

Thanks again to Beryl and Trey for sharing their story and wedding details with us. Special thanks also to Red Apple Tree Photography -- check them out on Facebook if you haven't already.
